The Residence Candia in Rome is a hidden gem. Its location near the Vatican Museum and metro station is unbeatable. The self-catering apartments have everything you need, including a kitchen and comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and always willing to help.
All was wonderful!

A private kitchen available. 25 minutes by car from the airport. We visited Pronto pizza, set only 300 ft away❤

Friendly and helpful staff (they even allowed me to print some tickets on their computer that I booked online). The location is perfect (just north of the Vatican walls). The room had a bunk bed with the lower bunk a double size. It would have been perfect for a family (we are just a couple and just used a lower bunk). The room included a toaster oven, microwave, stove burner, refrigerator, and maybe a few other things that I can't quite remember. Included in the cabinets are plates, cups, and utensils, They did provide parking inside the walls of their property (just turn into the gate) as we were crazy enough to drive into the city (at night, even).
The price seemed a tad high, but considering the location, the apartment-like furnished rooms, and the free parking, maybe I am off-base here.

Staff was nice and location was excellent. Only couple a blocks away from Vatican. We accomodated in 6 person residence, which actually had 3 bedrooms and a lobby. The interior was a little old, but room was clean. We made our own breakfasts which was quite a nice actually.
Coffee machine was found in the room, but there wasn't any coffee filters available on supermarkets nearby. The floor was cold stone and therefore not suitable for small baby to crawl on it. I think we were missing one shower towel tool. Some noise from rooms above and street can also been heared, but not so bad.

What I liked about Residence Candia is the coziness of the rooms. it seems small when you first get there but truly that's all you need. It was peaceful, romantic and the top floor has a beautiful view of the night sky.
The shower was a bit small, being a 'well gifted' woman I have bigger hips and I had to get in to the shower sides ways. The bathroom overall was a bit too small.

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the Vatican's museum, as it is just a short walk away. being right next to a metro stop makes it convenient to visit all of the city's attractions.
The air conditioning in the rooms barely works, and it can get quite warm.

The 2 bedrooms apartment are clean and beds are comfortable for a family of 4 adults. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
There are no lifts but fortunately we have only one big bag and 3 cabin bags. I would suggest towel bars to be fitted in the bathroom so that towels can be hanged up.

Service personal and owners wend above and beyond to make us fell like home. Very friendly and helpful. Apartments well furnish and very clean. Reception provide area maps free - better maps then I paid $5 for. Excellent location. 5 min walk from Vatican Museum and subway line A station. Located in safe area with stores and restaurants. Apparent has full kitchen and we use farmers market around the corner full of fresh low price foods - all equal saving money and eating good.

The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station, making it easy to explore the city. Guests can easily access popular attractions such as the Vatican and the Gelateria 'old bridge'. Additionally, the hotel is not far from the airport, making it convenient for travelers.
The noise from the courtyard and thin walls can be a disturbance for some guests, especially those who are sensitive to sound.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff, good value for the apartment
Surrounding neighborhood was a little run down and had lots of graffiti, beds were small and uncomfortable, terrible pillows

Residence Candia is a pleasant well-situated apartment hotel near the walls of the Vatican. The hotel staff is friendly and we were supported with a map and good ideas of what to do when in Rome as a visitor. Our small apartment was well-equipped with a nice kitchen where we cooked our meals easily. We also had easy access to supermarkets by foot. We had a wonderful vacation +35 c every day during our stay in Italy. We also visited Sorrento, Capri and Milan. I rcommend the hotel dearly!

The proximity to the Vatican and the Metro. The rooms were newly renovated and pretty much contained what was necessary. The staff was helpfull in general.
The rooms were somewhat dark, and the daily cleaning could be better. also the towels are only changed every 4 days and no cleaning on sunday. A problem with sewagewater coming up from the bathroom drain was not addressed as it was sunday!!
